I love this whole post. I always have a challenging time thinking of celebration, so these are specially great reminders. As I'm rereading your last questions, I'm reminded that my photography itself is a celebration of life, of beauty in the ordinary, celebrating discovery! So thanks for that.

I also LOVE your granddaughter and the whole celebration of family and love that permeates your whole post. I just Tweeted and FBed it!

Appreciatively,
Sheila

JoAnna I agree with you and I follow the same techniques. Be gently with yourself and start again. It feels so good when you finally do create a habit that brings you more creativity and joy in your life.

Thanks. I just went to your site and find it very interesting.
I spent quite a bit of my life depressed (I am, contrary to what some new friends believe, one of those boen happy people at all)
My own constant struggle with depression was what pushed me to learn more about the science of happiness, as some call it.
The study and practice of Positive Psychology has changed my life.
Do I still have to "work" at being happy? Well, yes. Just like I have to exercise to keep my weight at a healthy level and floss to keep my gums from receding. Happiness is a choice, and a practice.

For someone like me who still slips once in a while to the old patterns of depression, practices and new learning make all the difference. And - EXERCISE makes the difference too.
